Strawberry jam with banana and orange

If you are bored with standard jam recipes, you can always try to cook something new. Strawberry in combination with banana and orange takes on a completely different sound - this jam is already more like a dessert. After heat treatment, the banana also changes its usual taste - it becomes sharper and more intense in taste. Orange is predictable and combines all the ingredients into a single whole with its citrus aroma.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
We sort out strawberries, separating and throwing out defective specimens and random garbage. Sepals the sepals. We wash the berries thoroughly and let them dry.
step 2 out of 4
We also wash bananas, peel and cut into thin transverse slices.
step 3 out of 4
We wash the orange with hot water to enhance the secretion of juice. Squeeze juice from half of an orange. Remove the zest. It is important to remove just the thin top layer, without the white fibers, as they are bitter. To do this, you can use a fine grater or a special knife for removing the zest.
step 4 out of 4
Put prepared strawberries, banana pieces, orange zest and granulated sugar in a bowl for making jam. Pour in orange juice and mix gently. We leave the mixture for about an hour, so that more juice stands out, and the sugar begins to dissolve. After that, put the container on the stove and heat the contents to a boil over medium temperature. From the moment it boils, we cook the jam for half an hour. Do not forget to stir periodically. We pre-wash jars for jam, sterilize and dry. We do the same with lids. We pack hot jam into prepared jars and immediately close them with lids. Let the preservation cool down and put it in a cool dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
