Gooseberry and raspberry jam

Raspberries and gooseberries are a great tandem for getting into the same jar of jam! According to their taste data, these berries, which the generous summer gives us every year, are excellently combined with each other. Do not be lazy, prepare such a homemade delicacy to please yourself and loved ones with its rich sweet and sour taste and pleasant aroma in the long cold winter!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Wash the gooseberries, dry them, cut off the tails and ends. If you want your jam to turn out not only tasty, but also beautiful, with whole berries, you will have to pierce each gooseberry berry with a needle through and through so that they do not burst during cooking. Then cover the berries with sugar and let it brew for 2 hours, and you stir them from time to time so that the juice stands out faster and better.
step 2 out of 5
Prepare raspberry puree by grinding clean raspberries with a blender. Then add this puree to the gooseberry in a bowl.
step 3 out of 5
Bring your future jam over high heat to a boil, then simmer for 5-10 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Sterilize the jars and lids ahead of time and pour your five-minute jam into it while it's still very hot. Seal the cans tightly, turn them upside down, wrap them up and let them cool completely, which will happen in about a day.
step 5 out of 5
Ready-made gooseberry and raspberry jam is stored in the refrigerator or in the cold pantry, or in the cellar.

Bon Appetit!
