Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Let's prepare nuts for jam. We put a frying pan on the fire and send walnuts into it. Fry them until golden brown. When the nuts are cool, you need to cut them into small pieces.
step 2 out of 7
Pour water into a saucepan, add cherry leaves. Then we put on fire. As soon as the contents of the pan boil, turn off the gas. Leave the broth to cool for a while.
step 3 out of 7
Let's take care of berries. The gooseberries should be carefully sorted out, the tails should be removed. After that, pour the gooseberries into a colander and rinse each berry.
step 4 out of 7
We turn to the most laborious process in the preparation of this jam. Each berry must be cut with a knife and, using a small spoon or pin, remove the pulp from it. The place of the pulp in the berry will take a piece of toasted walnut. After that, we put the berries in a container in which the jam will be prepared.
step 5 out of 7
Filter the cooled broth, thereby removing the cherry leaves. Next, pour granulated sugar into it, turn on the gas and put it on fire. After boiling, continue stirring and cooking the syrup until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 6 out of 7
Pour the stuffed berries with the prepared syrup, cool and then place in a cool place for at least 12 hours. This time is necessary for the berries to be well saturated with syrup. The next day we put the berry mass on the fire. After boiling, cook for another 10 minutes.
step 7 out of 7
Cool the finished gooseberry jam with walnuts (about a couple of hours), then put it in pre-sterilized jars and send it to the refrigerator for storage. You can treat yourself to jam at any time!

Enjoy your tea!
