Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the apples thoroughly under running water, dry them on a towel and pierce them with a wooden skewer or fork, make punctures in several places. If you skip this step, the skin will tear during boiling.
step 2 out of 6
We send the apples to a bowl or saucepan and fill them with water so that the ranetki are completely covered with it. We send it to the fire and bring it to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove the apples with a slotted spoon and fill them with cold water.
step 3 out of 6
Let's start preparing the syrup. Pour granulated sugar into a deep container and fill it with drinking water. We put on fire and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for a couple more minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 4 out of 6
We send ranetki to the resulting syrup and cook for 15 minutes. We periodically remove the resulting foam.
step 5 out of 6
Remove the jam from the stove and let stand for about 2.5 hours. After this time, return everything to the fire, bring to a strong boil and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring slightly.
step 6 out of 6
Turn off the stove and pour hot jam into two-liter jars. We twist them with metal lids, wrap them in a blanket and let them cool to room temperature. We send to a dark cool storage place. We take out the jam in winter and serve it to the table with tea. Bon Appetit!
