Ranetki jam with tails for the winter

The washed apples are put into sugar syrup with citric acid and boiled in three sets of 10-15 minutes each. Hot jam is poured into jars and tightened with lids. It turns out to be amber in color and very tasty.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Rinse the apples thoroughly under running water, dry them on a paper towel and pierce them with a toothpick at the very base.
step 2 out of 7
Pour granulated sugar into a deep saucepan, fill it with a glass of drinking water and put everything on the fire. Bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 3 out of 7
Add a pinch of citric acid. Foam should form.
step 4 out of 7
We send apples to the resulting sugar syrup, bring to a boil and continue to cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let the jam cool completely. It is not necessary to stir it so that the apples remain intact.
step 5 out of 7
We repeat the previous step two more times. For the third approach, you can cook the jam longer if you want it to turn out thicker.
step 6 out of 7
We pour even hot jam from the ranetki into previously sterilized jars and tighten the lids.
step 7 out of 7
Let the contents cool completely, after which we send them to storage in a dry place. We take it out in winter and serve it with hot tea. Bon Appetit!
