Jam from sliced ranetki slices for the winter

Paradise apples will not leave anyone indifferent, because their taste cannot be confused with any other variety of apples. In the composition of these fruits there is such a substance as "pectin", thanks to which the syrup in consistency turns out to be something similar to caramel and the cooking time is shortened due to the rapid thickening.

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
We wash the fruits thoroughly and discard them in a colander, allowing all the water to drain. Next, cut the ranetki in half or into quarters (depending on the size) and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 7
Pour one and a half cups of water into a saucepan with a thick bottom and add 350 grams of sugar with the addition of vanilla. We put on medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. We reduce the flame and boil until the syrup thickens.
step 3 out of 7
Pour the chopped fruits into hot syrup and leave to soak for about 40-45 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
After the time has passed, put the saucepan on the stove, add the remaining sugar and cook until bubbles appear on the syrup. When the contents begin to "gurgle" immediately remove from heat and leave for 15 minutes.
step 5 out of 7
After the time has passed, put the saucepan on the stove and cook until bubbles appear on the syrup. When the contents begin to "gurgle" immediately remove from heat and leave for 15 minutes.
step 6 out of 7
For the third time, put on the stove and bring to a boil over medium heat, removing the foam that appears.
step 7 out of 7
We carefully lay out the finished jam in sterile jars, but do not roll it up until the jam has cooled slightly. Store in a cool, dark place after seaming. Bon Appetit!
