Plum jam in halves

Making the perfect plum jam takes a little patience, picking ripe, dense plums, cutting them in half and removing the seeds. The jam is thick enough to be used for filling any homemade baked goods.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Go through the plums, remove the tails, wash and dry them. Cut the berries in half and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 4
Transfer the plums to a bowl, do it in layers: a layer of berries, then sugar, again a layer of plums, sugar on top and continue so on until you run out of plums and sugar. Leave it on for 4-5 hours.
step 3 out of 4
After the allotted time, when the juice is let out from the plums, put the container on low heat, cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not forget to remove the foam from the surface of the jam in the process.
step 4 out of 4
Be sure to sterilize jam jars and boil the lids. Put the hot jam in the jars, roll them up. Cover the seams with a warm blanket and leave until they have cooled completely. The finished plum jam will be thick and tasty, with a pleasant sourness.

Bon Appetit!
