How nice it is to drink a cup of hot tea with aromatic plum jam on a cold evening. Preparing these berries is a rather cumbersome process, but the jam itself can be prepared very quickly.

For jam, it is better to take ripe or slightly overripe berries without traces of spoilage. Sort out the plums from the debris in the form of leaves and branches, wash, remove seeds from the berries.

Fill the berries with sugar, stir and leave for 2-4 hours, during which time the plums will juice.

Put the plums on the stove to boil, bring the jam to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly. If foam forms on the surface, scoop it up with a spoon.

Sterilize jars and lids. Spread the hot plum jam into the jars, close the lids tightly. Turn the jars upside down, cover with a warm blanket and leave to cool completely. Then move the seaming to a cool place where it will be stored until the season of warm blankets and fragrant jam arrives.
