Rendlode Plum Jam

Rendlode is a subspecies of homemade plum with a dense, fleshy texture. Plum during heat treatment retains its shape well. I suggest making delicious and aromatic jam from this variety. The cooking process is simple and not laborious, but lengthy.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Sort out the plums and rinse gently under cold running water. Leave the excess liquid in the glass. Put washed plums in a container with a thick bottom and add the required amount of granulated sugar. Stir and let sit for about 3 hours to let the juice stand out. Pour in the required amount of drinking water and put on low heat.
step 2 out of 8
Stir until the granulated sugar crystals are completely dissolved and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat and cool completely. This process will take approximately 8-12 hours. Put on low heat again and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat again and cool completely for 8-12 hours.
step 3 out of 8
Put on low heat again and bring to a boil. Then remove from heat and cool completely for 8-12 hours. In the meantime, prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Banks must be completely dry.
step 4 out of 8
Put on low heat again, add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, stir and bring to a boil.
step 5 out of 8
Place the jam on a plate. If it does not spread and keeps its shape, then it is ready.
step 6 out of 8
Using a ladle, carefully pour the jam into sterile jars. Tighten hot jars of plum jam with lids, after pouring boiling water over them, and turn them upside down. Leave as it is until it cools completely.
step 7 out of 8
The remnants of the jam can be tasted after cooling completely.
step 8 out of 8
Turn the cooled jars over and store in a cool place.

Enjoy!
