Victoria jam thick

I suggest making a delicious and thick strawberry jam that can be used as a filling for various baked goods. I prepare such jam only from strawberries grown with my own hands, I never use store-bought strawberries. As a last resort, I buy in the market from a trusted granny.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make strawberry jam.
step 2 out of 8
Sort the strawberries, put in a deep container with cold water, rinse thoroughly and drain through a sieve, tearing off the berry tails.
step 3 out of 8
Place the prepared berries in a container with a thick bottom, in which you will cook the jam.
step 4 out of 8
Fill in the required amount of granulated sugar and leave for 9-12 hours so that the berry juice stands out and the berries are soaked in syrup. In the meantime, prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Pour boiling water over the lids or boil in a saucepan. Jars and lids must be completely dry.
step 5 out of 8
Stir and place the container with berries on low heat, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally and removing the resulting foam, cook for 5 minutes. Then gently catch the strawberries with a slotted spoon, and let the syrup simmer for about 30 minutes. Once the syrup has boiled down 2 times, put the berries back, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
step 6 out of 8
Using a ladle, carefully place the hot strawberry jam in sterile jars.
step 7 out of 8
Tighten jars of thick jam with sterile screw caps, turn upside down, wrap with a warm blanket or towel and cool completely.
step 8 out of 8
After cooling completely, transfer the jars to a cool, dark place for storage. Thick strawberry jam has an incredible taste and aroma.

Enjoy!
