Victoria jam five minutes

The cultivated strawberry, which is very similar in taste and appearance to the strawberry, is called "Victoria". From this favorite of the garden plots, the hostesses have been preparing aromatic and beautiful jam for a long time. This "five-minute" jam is prepared by filling the berries with syrup 2 times and without boiling the berries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 11
Prepare the sugar syrup for the jam first. Pour clean water into a bowl for cooking jam, add the calculated amount of sugar to it and put it on a small fire.
step 2 out of 11
Stir the sugar well so that it dissolves completely.
step 3 out of 11
Pour citric acid into the syrup, stir and cook over low heat for at least 15 minutes.
step 4 out of 11
Rinse "Victoria" under running water and remove the sepals from the berries. Large berries can be cut into halves.
step 5 out of 11
Place the prepared berries in another bowl and cover with sugar syrup for 20 minutes. During this time, the strawberries will give their juice and the syrup will be thinner.
step 6 out of 11
While the strawberries are soaking in the syrup, sterilize the jars in any way and boil the lids.
step 7 out of 11
After 20 minutes, pour the strawberry syrup into the same bowl where the sugar was melted, and cook it for 10 minutes, no more. Remove the foam from the surface of the syrup.
step 8 out of 11
Pour the syrup over the berries again for 20 minutes. Then drain the syrup again and cook it for 5 minutes. Remove the foam.
step 9 out of 11
Transfer the Victoria berries to sterile jars.
step 10 out of 11
Pour boiling hot syrup over them. Immediately roll up the jars hermetically with boiled lids.
step 11 out of 11
Then turn them over onto the lids and leave to cool completely. Covering with a warm blanket is optional. Store the chilled jam in a cold place.

Enjoy your tea!
