Cherry jam through a meat grinder

You can make many options for preparations from cherries. With or without seeds, whole berries and chopped. The advantage of chopped berry jam is that it is very convenient to use it as an additive to pancakes, as an interlayer for a cake, as a ready-made base for jelly - it's all about an almost uniform consistency. It is convenient to use a meat grinder or blender to grind berries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 3
We wash the cherries thoroughly, discard the berries with defects, remove random branches and leaves. Let the clean berries dry completely. Now we extract the seeds from the cherries. For this, it is convenient to use a special device for removing the bones.
step 2 out of 3
Pass the seedless berries through a meat grinder. Place the cherry mass in a saucepan or a volumetric refractory bowl and pour the specified amount of granulated sugar into it. We put the dishes on the stove and bring the mass to a boil. Cook the jam over medium heat with constant stirring to avoid burning. It will take about thirty to forty minutes to cook the jam. During this time, some of the moisture will evaporate, the jam will be boiled down, it will become a little thicker.
step 3 out of 3
Put the finished jam hot in dry sterilized jars and close with dry sterilized lids. Let the jars of jam cool completely and remove from them to a dry and dark storage place.

Bon Appetit!
