Cherry jam with agar-agar

I highly recommend making a delicious cherry agar jam. The jam turns out to be jelly-like and thick. Cherry jam cooks very quickly. A fragrant delicacy does not linger with us for a long time, so I try to cook it in large quantities.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Prepare your cherries. Put the cherries in a sieve, rinse thoroughly and let the excess liquid drain. Put the berries in a saucepan in which you will cook the jam. It is advisable to take a container with a thick bottom, fill it with granulated sugar. Stir the contents of the pot thoroughly.
step 2 out of 5
Place a saucepan with cherries over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Remove the resulting foam from time to time. Reduce heat and simmer for about 7-10 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
Dissolve agar agar in water according to the instructions on the package. Introduce into the jam in a thin stream. Mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil and cook for another 5 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave, oven, or water bath.
step 4 out of 5
Pour boiling water over the lids. Jars and lids must be completely dry. Using a ladle, carefully pour the hot jam into sterile jars. Tighten jars of cherry jam with sterile lids, and turn upside down. Leave as it is until it cools completely.
step 5 out of 5
Then turn the jars over and move them to a dark place for long-term storage. Remains of cherry agar jam can be tasted after cooling completely.

Enjoy!
