The recipe for apple "five minutes" is quite popular, because apples perfectly retain their taste and aroma, including "White filling". In a traditional "five-minute" session, apples are chopped on a coarse grater, but this jam does not look very nice, so we cook it in slices. We insist the apples for several hours in sugar syrup and then cook for exactly 5 minutes. Despite the primitive cooking method, the jam is well stored and turns out to be thick, since there is a lot of natural pectin in apples.

Rinse apples for jam well. Then cut into quarters and remove the seed pods. Cut into thin slices and immediately place in a bowl with citric acid solution so that they do not darken.

Boil the syrup from the calculated amount of sugar and water. Cool the syrup a little.

Put the apple slices from the lemon solution into a bowl for making jam and pour over the prepared syrup.

After this time, place the jam over medium heat, bring to a boil and remove the froth from the surface. Cook the jam for exactly 5 minutes from the start of the boil. At the end of boiling, add a little vanilla or other flavoring to the jam, but this is to taste.
