Apple jam with cinnamon wedges

The combination of cinnamon and apple is never bad. This spice makes the jam spicy, aromatic and cozy in its own way, so it is very often rolled up for the winter.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Cut the pre-washed apples into medium-sized wedges and place in a deep bowl. If you cut it too thin, then during cooking they will soften and fall apart, turning into mashed potatoes rather than jam.
step 2 out of 5
Cover the slices with sugar and stir gently to completely cover the apples. You can also simply pour both ingredients in layers, then mixing is not necessary. Leave the apples to stand for a couple of hours so that the juice begins to actively release from them and the sugar dissolves.
step 3 out of 5
After the specified time has passed, put the pot with apples on the fire and bring the liquid to a boil, stirring constantly so that the sugar that has not had time to dissolve does not burn. Boil the wedges, after boiling, for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and leave for 2 hours.
step 4 out of 5
After, repeat the procedure a couple more times, letting the apples settle for a couple of hours after boiling. For the last boil, add the cinnamon and stir the jam very gently so as not to damage the apple slices.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the resulting jam into pre-sterilized jars, roll up on a turnkey basis and fold sideways on a linen towel. Wrap up with a rug or blanket, leave to cool completely, and then store in a dark and cool place.
Bon Appetit!
