It happens that cherry jam in winter ended at the wrong time. Or they didn't have time to prepare such a jam in the summer. A way out of such situations is to make frozen cherries jam. In taste and aroma, it is in no way inferior to that prepared from fresh berries, so you can safely use this recipe.

Pour a small amount of cold water into a deep saucepan, put the pan on the fire, wait for the water to boil.

Pour frozen cherries into a deep bowl. Place the bowl in a pot of boiling water for a water bath.

Boil the cherries in a water bath for half an hour on maximum heat so that the berries let the juice flow. Then reduce the heat to medium and, stirring constantly, cook the jam for another hour until it thickens slightly.

Then we put the stove on the smallest fire and cook the cherry jam for another hour. Do not forget about water in a saucepan under a water bath, if it evaporates, add more.

Allow the finished frozen cherry jam to cool completely in a bowl. During this time, prepare the jars, sterilize them, and pour boiling water over the lids. Pour the cooled jam into jars, tighten the lids.
