Wild strawberry jam Lick your fingers for the winter

Strawberries are covered with sugar and left for 2-3 hours. It is cooked in two approaches along with mint, after which the jam is laid out in sterile jars and rolled up. It turns out to be very aromatic and tasty.

We sort out the strawberries, remove the rotten berries and remove the sepals. Next, we rinse it under running water, put it in a colander and let it stand until all the excess liquid has drained off.

Now we transfer the strawberries to a suitable saucepan and cover it with granulated sugar.

Mix everything well and leave for 2-3 hours so that the berries release juice.

After the necessary time, put the pan on the fire and bring the berries to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes, remove the resulting foam and turn off the stove. Cover the jam with a lid or cheesecloth and let stand for an hour and a half to cool.

Return the pot with jam to the burner and cook for about 20 minutes over low heat. We wash the mint under cool water, dry it and send it to the strawberries. We mix everything.

Cook the jam for another 7-10 minutes and remove it from the heat.

We transfer it to pre-sterilized jars and roll it up with sterile lids. Turn it upside down, wrap it in a towel or blanket and leave it to cool completely. Store the finished jam in a cool dark place.
