Strawberry jam with stalks

According to this recipe, we cook strawberry jam, without first cleaning it from sepals. At the same time, it is important to thoroughly rinse the berries so that all contaminants are washed out with water and do not get into the workpiece. The taste of such a jam is somewhat different from the traditional version without herbs, there is a slight "forest" flavor and additional aroma.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We sort out the strawberries from random garbage, remove the defective specimens, remove the leaves. Rinse the berries thoroughly in warm running water to remove all impurities. Let the water drain.
step 2 out of 5
We make syrup in a bowl for making jam. Pour water and about half a kilogram of sugar into the container, put it on the stove. Dissolve the sugar and bring to a boil.
step 3 out of 5
Pour the berries into the syrup, mix and bring to a boil over low heat. Pour in the rest of the sugar, stir and bring to a boil again. From the moment of boiling, we cook the jam for five minutes. We remove the foam.

We sterilize jars and lids in any way you are used to.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the finished hot jam into dry sterile jars and tighten with dry sterile lids. Let the workpiece cool down and put the jars in the refrigerator for storage.
