Yellow cherry plum jam with seeds for the winter

Cherry plum jam turns out to be more interesting and beautiful if you cook it with seeds. The fruits remain intact, of a beautiful amber-golden color, with a juicy, viscous consistency. The syrup is great as a sauce for desserts or as a base for fruit drinks.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We wash the cherry plum well, cut off the stalks, remove the fruit with defects.
step 2 out of 6
In a bowl for making jam, mix granulated sugar and water. We put it on the stove. Bring the syrup to a boil, stirring occasionally.
step 3 out of 6
Place the prepared cherry plum in hot syrup, stir, cook for five minutes and remove from the stove. We leave it for six to seven hours.
step 4 out of 6
After that, put it on the stove again, bring it to a boil, cook for five minutes, removing the foam. Turn it off and let it brew again for six to seven hours.
step 5 out of 6
After cooling down, we repeat the procedure again. The finished jam is deep amber in color.
step 6 out of 6
Wash and sterilize jars and lids. Pour the finished jam into sterile jars. We close the lids, turn the cans upside down to check the tightness. Cover with a blanket and let the jam cool slowly, then put it in a cool dark place for storage.
Bon Appetit!
