According to the proposed recipe, you will make a wonderful dessert with yellow plums. This plum has a pronounced natural gelling property and the jam from it is always thick and has a beautiful color. For the jam, choose yellow plums with a medium ripeness so that the pits are easily separated and the fruit does not lose its shape.

Rinse the yellow plums well under running water and cut them into halves and remove the seeds. Place the chopped plums immediately into the jam pot and add the amount of sugar specified in the recipe.

Cover the pot with a towel and leave the plums in the sugar for 12 hours. During this time, they will be saturated with sugar and give enough of their juice.

After this time, put a saucepan with plums over low heat and bring to a boil. Remove all foam from the surface. Cook the jam within 5 minutes from the start of the boil. If you want to get a thicker jam, then cook them for 15–20 minutes.

Gently transfer the hot jam to sterile jars and immediately seal it tightly with boiled lids. Turn the jars upside down and leave to cool. You do not need to cover the jam with a warm blanket, otherwise the plums will lose their shape. Store the cooled jam in a cool place.
