Yellow plum jam with walnuts

Yellow plum jam with the addition of walnuts is a tasty and aromatic delicacy for the winter for cozy home gatherings. Supplemented with a small amount of cinnamon, which gives the jam a stunning aroma and a beautiful amber color, it will be an excellent addition to cottage cheese or yogurt, as well as a dessert to a cup of fragrant tea.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We have selected ripe yellow plums for making the jam. We rinse them under cool running water and put them on a kitchen towel so that they dry from the water. Then we cut each plum with a sharp knife in half lengthwise and remove the bones. The number of plums in the recipe is indicated in their pure, pitted form.
step 2 out of 6
Pour sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add water, stir and put on medium heat. Bring to a boil and boil until sugar dissolves.
step 3 out of 6
Then put the peeled plums into the boiling syrup, mix and boil for 20 minutes, not forgetting to periodically stir and remove the resulting foam.
step 4 out of 6
After the plums have boiled in syrup, juiced and softened, add walnuts and cinnamon to the jam. Stir and simmer over medium heat for another 15 minutes and remove from heat.
step 5 out of 6
Put the finished hot jam in sterilized jars and seal tightly with boiled lids. Turn the jars upside down and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Then we remove the jam for storage in a cool dark place.
step 6 out of 6
We leave a little jam for tasting with a cup of freshly brewed aromatic tea. Enjoy your tea!
