Tea rose five-minute jam

Tea rose jam is very unusual and beautiful. The delicacy has a delicate pink color and delicate texture of petals in syrup. When collecting raw materials, you need to remember that for harvesting you need strong, open, but not crumbling buds, without dried out areas. It is convenient to cut the petals straight from the flower with scissors. It is important to know that you cannot use the white lower part of the petals in the jam, as it is bitter. Therefore, we cut off the petals with scissors a little further from the base.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
To collect raw materials, we choose good quality buds that have already opened, but have not yet had time to twist.
step 2 out of 8
Cut the petals a little further from their base with scissors so that the white part does not get into the jam.
step 3 out of 8
Place the cut petals in a bowl and sprinkle them with citric acid.
step 4 out of 8
With our hands we mash the petals together with the crystals of acid.
step 5 out of 8
In a bowl for making jam, mix water and granulated sugar in the specified amount. We put on the stove and bring to a boil.
step 6 out of 8
After the sugar is completely dissolved, pour the prepared petals into the boiling syrup. Mix thoroughly so that all the petals are immersed in the liquid.
step 7 out of 8
Cook for five minutes from the moment of boiling and remove from the stove. Let the jam cool and put it back on the stove. Bring to a boil and cook again for five minutes. We repeat the specified sequence one more time.
step 8 out of 8
After the third five-minute boil, the jam is ready. Pour it hot into clean dry jars and seal it tightly. Let the jars of jam cool and put them in a cool dark place for storage.

Bon Appetit!
