Sweet dumplings with various berries are adored by both children and adults. Dumplings can be prepared with any filling of your choice. Depending on whether you're making sweet or savory dumplings, they can be a delicious dessert or breakfast option, or a hot main course. I want to suggest a recipe for blueberry dumplings without eggs.

Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the egg-free blueberry dumplings.

Prepare the dough. Remove kefir from the refrigerator in advance and let it warm up at room temperature. Pour into a deep bowl, add wheat flour, baking soda and salt. Mix thoroughly.

Then place the dough on a clean, dry work surface, mix well, cover with cling film and leave to rest for half an hour.

Sort the blueberries thoroughly, put in a sieve, rinse gently and let the excess liquid drain. Place in a deep bowl, add cottage cheese and granulated sugar. Mix gently. If you use frozen berries, then they do not need to be defrosted in advance.

Roll out the rested dough on a clean, dry surface with a rolling pin into a layer 3-5 millimeters thick. Cut out the circles with a glass.

Place the blueberry and curd filling in the center. Connect the free edges of the dough and seal them well, pressing firmly with your fingers. Or use a special device for sculpting dumplings. While sculpting the dumplings, put a saucepan of water over medium heat, bring to a boil.

To prevent the filling from leaking out, such dumplings are best steamed. Grease the steaming rack with a little vegetable oil. Place the dumplings neatly at a distance from each other. Place the wire rack in the saucepan and cover, cook for about 10 minutes.

Carefully remove the hot dumplings from the wire rack and place on a plate. Brush ready-made dumplings with blueberries with butter and serve in portions with sour cream or natural yogurt.
