Dumplings with blueberries and whey

I want to share a simple and very tasty recipe for blueberry dumplings with whey. Aromatic dumplings cheer up and go well for a family Sunday breakfast. You can use your favorite berries as a filling. The filling can be fresh or frozen berries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 11
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make the whey blueberry dumplings. The serum should be cold enough. Sift the wheat flour into a deep bowl.
step 2 out of 11
Break a chicken egg into a bowl of flour.
step 3 out of 11
Gradually pour in the chilled whey, salt, add granulated sugar. Mix thoroughly. Then place the dough on a clean, dry work surface and knead well.
step 4 out of 11
Tighten the dough with cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
step 5 out of 11
Sort the blueberries thoroughly, put in a sieve, rinse gently and let the excess liquid drain. Put in a deep bowl, sprinkle with corn or potato starch, add granulated sugar to taste. Mix gently.
step 6 out of 11
Roll out the rested dough on a clean, dry surface with a rolling pin into a layer 3-5 millimeters thick.
step 7 out of 11
Cut out circles with a glass or special cutting.
step 8 out of 11
Place the berry filling in the center of the circle.
step 9 out of 11
Connect the free edges of the dough and mold them well, pressing firmly with your fingers. Or use a special device for sculpting dumplings. While sculpting the dumplings, put a saucepan of water over medium heat, bring to a boil. Place the dumplings carefully in boiling water. Wait for the dumplings to float and cook for about 5 minutes.
step 10 out of 11
While the dumplings are boiling, you can make the sauce. Combine sour cream, poppy seeds and vanillin in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly with a whisk.
step 11 out of 11
Using a slotted spoon, carefully remove the hot dumplings from the saucepan and place on a plate. Serve ready-made dumplings with blueberries in portions with sour cream sauce. The cornstarch or potato starch in the filling will keep it from spreading and help keep it in shape.

Enjoy!
