Dumplings with strawberries on yeast dough

Dumplings with strawberries on fluffy dough - easy! To prepare the dough, we will use a small amount of yeast, and steam the dumplings themselves. As a result, we get the most delicate airy dumplings that just melt in your mouth!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
We heat milk on a stove or in a microwave oven to a temperature of 37-39 degrees. Pour warm milk into a deep container, add sugar and yeast, knead well with a spoon. Then add the egg and salt. Knead all ingredients until smooth.
step 2 out of 8
Add flour to the dough, mix with a spoon, then sprinkle the work surface with flour and spread the dough.
step 3 out of 8
Add vegetable oil to the dough and knead it well until smooth. We form the finished dough into a ball and leave it on the work surface for 10-15 minutes, covering it with a cotton towel so that it rests.
step 4 out of 8
Sprinkle flour on the work surface and roll out the dough into a layer 2-3 mm thick. Then, using a special shape or glass, we make round blanks for dumplings.
step 5 out of 8
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and starch (the starch will absorb the juice that comes out of the strawberries and retain excess moisture). Separate the strawberries from the tops, rinse in a colander, leave for 10-15 minutes to drain all the water and cut them into small pieces (if the strawberries are small, you should not cut them). Put a little sugar-starch mixture in each piece with a teaspoon and spread a few pieces of strawberries. We form the dumplings, pressing the edges well with our fingers so that the dumplings do not open during the cooking process.
step 6 out of 8
When the dumplings are ready, put a saucepan half full of water on the fire, put a steam cooking nozzle on top of the pan or stretch cheesecloth. After the water in the pan boils, put the dumplings so that there is free space between them and they do not stick together during cooking, cover them with a high lid and leave to cook for a couple of 5-6 minutes. The yeast dough will start to grow during the cooking process, so make sure that the lid does not press down on it.
step 7 out of 8
Remove the finished dumplings on a plate, add a little butter and pour over the dumplings with liquid honey.
step 8 out of 8
Serve hot dumplings. Bon Appetit!
