Lean dumplings with strawberries

The time of Great Lent is a period of spiritual and physical cleansing. But this does not mean that lean food cannot remain tasty and appetizing at the same time. Choux pastry stuffed with small juicy berries will keep all its juice inside, allowing you to enjoy the tenderness of this dish.

Sift half of the specified amount of flour into a bowl.

Boil water and add salt to it.

Make a notch in the middle of the flour and pour in boiling water in a small stream, while stirring with a fork or mixer.

Add butter to the dough and mix well again.

Sift the rest of the flour and knead the dough with your hands, making it plastic and soft.

Place the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Wash the strawberries and remove the leaves. Place on a paper towel.

Combine sugar with vanilla.

Remove the dough from the bag and roll it out to a thickness of 4 mm. Cut round blanks with a glass.
