In the berry season, it is worth taking advantage of every opportunity so that your body receives the necessary portion of vitamins. In this recipe, you will learn how to prepare a very simple yet delicious and flavorful meal for the whole family. You should break away from business and devote a few minutes of your time to him.
Ingredients
Cooking process
We prepare berries for the filling. We wash the cherries and remove excess moisture from it with a towel. We need to remove seeds from the berries. This can be done with a safety pin or a special appliance if you have one in your kitchen. You cannot leave seeds in cherries. They can damage your teeth. Therefore, be sure to check the berries before cooking. In a separate container, combine sugar and 2 tablespoons of starch. The last ingredient will prevent the juice of the berries from flowing out of the dumplings. Add the mixture to the cherries and stir the filling well.
Pour water and vegetable oil into a small saucepan. Add some salt to them. Move the pot to the stove and wait for the mixture to boil. The flour must be sieved in advance. So you will remove debris from it, and the flour itself will be enriched with oxygen. As a result, the dough will turn out to be very fluffy and porous. It is advisable to choose premium flour. It makes a very soft and fluffy dough. Gradually start adding a mixture of water and butter to the flour. Stir the future dough constantly with a spoon or with a whisk. It should be soft and very thick. If you have an extra 25 minutes left, cover the dough with a towel and let it stand. Then the dough will knead well.
We begin to sculpt dumplings. Add filling to the center of each circle of dough. Its amount may vary depending on your desire. You can also add more sugar if using sour cherries. The edges of the dough must be joined and clamped firmly. The juice of the berries can pass through the smallest holes in the dough. Therefore, the edges of the dumpling must be fastened with special care.
For cooking dumplings, we will use a slow cooker. Pour a liter of water into the multicooker bowl. Find the "Steamer" button on the taskbar and wait for the water to boil. After that, dip the dumplings into it and close the lid of the multicooker. They will be completely ready in 5 minutes.Remove the finished dumplings immediately from the water so that they do not swell. Since the multicooker bowl does not have a large capacity, you cannot cook all the pieces at once. Place the remaining dumplings in the freezer until next cooking. They can stay there even for several months.
