Incredibly tasty and tender dumplings with sweet and sour filling will not leave anyone indifferent. This recipe melts in your mouth and is great to serve. Both for a festive table and just for a family dinner.

Using a kitchen gram scale, we measure 50 grams of butter.

Pour 300 milliliters of milk at room temperature into a saucepan or stewpan, add salt, granulated sugar, butter and put on the stove, with constant stirring, bring to a boil and remove from heat, gradually add one glass of wheat flour. Stir until smooth.

We shift the base of the choux pastry into a deep plate, and when it cools down a little, we drive in one egg and add the remaining flour.

Knead a soft elastic dough with your hands and put it in a dark place for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle the working surface with flour and use a rolling pin to roll it into a thin layer and cut out even circles with a special device or a narrow glass.

Pour quite a bit of sugar into the center and put one cherry on top.

Dip your fingers in flour and pinch the edges of the dumplings tightly.

Next, wrap the dough up with an overlap, start from the corner.

We pick up the second piece of dough and "put" it on the first, already rolled up.

We repeat the manipulation over and over again, moving towards the second corner.

As a result, we get a beautiful braided pigtail.

Put all the dumplings on a plate sprinkled with flour or on a cutting board.

After 20-25 minutes, remove from the cold and start cooking. Boil salted water in a saucepan and put a colander on top.

Cooking dumplings in portions, be sure to cover them with a lid. As a rule, it takes about 6-7 minutes to cook.
