Ingredients
Cooking process
Be sure to sift the flour before adding it. It is best to do this several times. With the help of it, the flour will be saturated with oxygen. This will make the dough more porous and airy. We begin to gradually add flour to the dough. Do this in small portions and stir the dough constantly after each addition. First, knead it with a spoon. After that, we continue to knead the dough with our hands.
We transfer the dough to the table. You can also post it on a special board. Grease the table with vegetable oil or sprinkle flour on it. Continue kneading the dough for another 5 minutes. As a result, it should become very soft and pliable. Transfer the dough to a container and cover with a bowl, which must be preheated in the microwave. Let the dough stand for 20-30 minutes.
We are starting to prepare the filling for our dumplings. Put frozen pitted cherries in a separate plate. Add cornstarch to it and mix the filling gently. The starch will keep the juice from flowing out. Place the plate in the microwave for 5 minutes. When the time is up, let the filling cool slightly.
Put some sugar in the center of each mug. Its amount can vary depending on your desire and the taste of the berries. Place the cherry filling on the sugar. You need to sculpt the dumplings carefully so that they do not fall apart during cooking. Hold the edges together securely. Make sure that the juice of berries and sugar do not get on the edges of the dough, which are held together. If this happens, they may come unstuck during cooking. Put the finished dumplings on the part of the table that is sprinkled with flour.
Fill the pot with cold water. We transfer it to the stove and wait for the water to boil. Add salt to it and stir well. Transfer the dumplings to a saucepan. Stir them constantly to keep them from sticking together during cooking.Stir the dumplings with the back of a spoon so as not to damage them during cooking. When the water boils again, reduce the heat and cook them for another 5-7 minutes.
