Hungarian beef goulash soup

Hungarian goulash soup is an absolutely self-sufficient and balanced dish. Its preparation will not cause much trouble, and you can feed them a large company.

Cut the bacon into small pieces.

Peel the onion and garlic, chop finely.

Wash the meat and cut it into small cubes.

Peel the bell pepper from partitions and seeds, cut the flesh into strips.

Wash the tomatoes and cut into cubes.

Peel and dice the potatoes.

In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the fat out of the bacon, then remove the greaves.

Put the onion in the pan where the bacon was fried and fry it until golden brown. Then add paprika, stir, simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Add meat to the pan, continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Then pour in the water so that it covers the meat. Cover the pot and simmer the goulash soup over low heat for 1.5 hours. If necessary, add water during cooking.

Then add vegetables: potatoes, peppers and tomatoes, pour in 2-2.5 liters of water. Bring the soup to a boil. Add garlic and cook until potatoes are tender. Season with salt to taste. Serve the finished goulash soup in deep bowls with fresh bread.
