This is the recipe for the simplest, but very tasty dessert. After preparing it, you can enjoy the rich cherry aroma and tender dough. Having tried this dish, you will immediately remember your carefree childhood. After that, you definitely will not be able to tear yourself away from it and eat everything to the last piece.

Prepare all the food you need in advance. Sift the flour several times. Thus, we remove garbage from it, and the flour itself is enriched with oxygen. Pour it into a deep plate. Add 70 grams of sugar to it and stir. The next ingredients are half a teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of baking soda. Stir the dry mixture again, evenly distributing the baking soda.
We break the chicken egg. Separate the yolk from the protein. For the dough, we only need the yolk. You can use the protein for another dish. After that, pour kefir into a plate and begin to knead the dough. Do this with a spoon or whisk. Form the dough into a lump with your hands. We put it in a bag and move it to the freezer for 20-30 minutes. The dough must be allowed to stand so that as a result it is soft and does not stick to your hands.
Let's start preparing the filling. Pour sugar and starch into a separate bowl. Stir the mixture well. The starch will prevent the berry juice from flowing out of the dumplings. For dumplings, it is best to use dark cherries. Rinse the cherries in advance under cold water. It is advisable to do this several times. You can get the cherry pits with a pin or a special device. However, in both cases, you will have to spend a lot of time on this process. Add a mixture of sugar and starch to the cherries. Stir the filling well.
A small amount of flour must be poured onto the work surface. We take out the dough from the freezer and put it on the flour. We begin to roll out the dough using a rolling pin. As a result, you should have a flat cake. Its thickness should be 2-3 millimeters. Using a glass with sharp edges or a special shape, we make blanks for dumplings. Spread them on the flour at a short distance from each other. It is advisable to cover the workpieces with cling film or a towel so that they do not dry out.
Put a teaspoon of cherry, sugar and starch filling in the center of each circle. Place it so that the dumpling does not break. You need to carefully fasten the edges of the dumplings. Be careful not to get cherry juice on them. Then the dumplings can come unstuck. Place the dumplings over the flour.
Fill the pot with a little water. Transfer it to the stove and bring the water to a boil. Then add a little salt to it and stir well. Put the amount of dumplings you need in it.You can put excess dumplings on a wooden board and send them to the refrigerator until next cooking. Stir the water gently with the back of a spoon. This will prevent them from sticking to each other. When the water boils again, reduce the heat and continue cooking the dumplings for 5 minutes. When ready, transfer them to a colander to drain off excess liquid.
