Cherries without sugar in their own juice for the winter

Cherries are best harvested in small jars. The container must be sterilized before seaming. This can be done with steam, but the quickest and most convenient way is to sterilize in the oven.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We proceed to the longest and most laborious stage - cherry processing. The berries should be firm, juicy and large. We discard the rotten and spoiled cherries.
step 2 out of 5
We wash the berries and discard them in a colander. When the excess liquid drains into the sink, remove the seeds from each berry, separate the tails and remove the leaves.
step 3 out of 5
In order for the cherry to start juice, it must be moved to a saucepan and the container is covered with a lid. After 2-3 hours, the jars can be filled with berries. Before packing, the container must be washed, cleaned and placed in the oven for sterilization.
step 4 out of 5
We put the cherries in jars to the very top. Pour the released juice over the berries. Place the cans on the bottom of a large saucepan. Pre-cover the bottom of the container with a towel. Pour water into a saucepan. It should reach the "shoulders" of the cans.
step 5 out of 5
We cover the container with lids. Bring the water to a boil and sterilize the jars for 15 minutes. Then we take them out. Roll up the finished cherry. Turn the containers over and wrap them with a blanket. When the workpieces are cool, they can be moved to a cooler place.
