It turns out very tasty if you prepare tomatoes along with other vegetables, for example, make a salad of tomatoes with cabbage. It does not need to be sterilized, and this, you see, is very convenient.

Remove the top damaged leaves from the cabbage, wash the head of cabbage. Divide it into 4 equal parts and cut off the stump. Chop the cabbage into small strips.

Sort the tomatoes and wash. Remove the dense white parts and cut into pieces.

Remove the stalk with the seed box from the pepper. Wash the pepper inside and out, cut into thin long strips.

Peel, wash and rub the carrots on a coarse grater.

Remove the husk from the onion, wash and cut into half rings.

Mix vegetables, add salt, vinegar, sugar and vegetable oil. Mix thoroughly and leave to stand for about 1 hour. Next, transfer the salad to a saucepan, set it over medium heat and bring to a boil. When the vegetable mass boils, reduce the heat to the minimum value, cover the pan and simmer the vegetables for another 20 minutes. Remove the lid from time to time and stir the vegetables so that they do not burn.

While the salad is stewing, the jars need to be heated, there is no need to sterilize. Transfer the cooked tomatoes with cabbage and pepper to hot jars, seal with lids. Wrap it up in a blanket, turn it over and let it cool for a day, then put it away for storage.
