Apple and pumpkin puree for the baby for the winter

This recipe is a great alternative to store-bought baby food. This puree is rich in vitamins, sweet, and rolled up can be stored for a long time.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the pumpkin well, removing the remaining sand and dust, cut it in half and use a spoon to remove all the seeds. Peel the halves and cut the flesh into small cubes.
step 2 out of 6
Place the pumpkin slices in a saucepan, cover with water and put on fire. Bring to a boil under the lid and simmer over medium heat for 10-12 minutes.
step 3 out of 6
In the meantime, peel the apples and cut the core with seeds. Cut them into small pieces and place them in cold water to prevent them from oxidizing or darkening.
step 4 out of 6
When the pumpkin is cooked, add the chopped apples and sugar to it. Taste the puree as you cook it to regulate its sweetness, as a lot depends on the apple and pumpkin varieties you use. Cook the contents of the pot for another 10-12 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
After the specified time, remove the pan from the heat and use a blender to grind all the ingredients until smooth. Banks for blanks must be prepared in advance. Both the glass container and the lids should be sterilized in any way convenient for you, and by the time the mashed potatoes are ready, the jars should cool and dry if you treated them with steam or boiling water. Divide the puree into the jars.
step 6 out of 6
Put water in a large saucepan, put a towel on the bottom and put it on low heat. Place jars of mashed potatoes covered with lids on a cloth. Top up with water, if necessary, so that it reaches the hangers of the jars. Bring the liquid to a boil and adjust the heat so that the bubbling is not too strong. Sterilize the seaming for 15 minutes, then carefully remove the cans and roll them up under the key or screw them tightly with the screw caps. Place the blanks with their bottoms up, wrap them up with a towel or blanket and leave to cool completely.
