Apple jam can be made very quickly and easily if you use the microwave. In a microwave oven, the evaporation of liquid is more intense, and the jam thickens faster than on the stove. First, we will make mashed apples on the stove, and the microwave will do the rest.
Ingredients
Cooking process
Cut the fruit into quarters and cut out the seed pods. You do not need to peel off the peel. Cut the apples into arbitrary pieces with a knife and put them in a saucepan. Fill with the indicated amount of water and place on the stove. Bring the contents to a boil and cook for five to ten minutes, until the apples are soft and boiled.
Pour the puree into a microwave safe dish. Pour half of the granulated sugar into the puree, mix and put in the microwave at maximum power for ten minutes. Then we take out the dishes, using oven mitts so as not to burn ourselves, and add the remaining sugar. Mix and microwave again. Power - maximum, cooking time - twenty minutes.
The finished jam has a darker color compared to the original, the consistency becomes noticeably thicker. It must be borne in mind that after cooling the jam will become even thicker. We immediately pack hot jam in pre-sterilized dry jars and close with sterile dry lids. Let the workpiece cool completely and put it in a cool dark place for storage.
Bon Appetit!
