Applesauce with citric acid for the winter

During the apple harvest period, in addition to jam and compotes, you can stock up on applesauce. It diversifies the winter menu both in its pure form and as an addition to various sweet dishes. When cooking, be sure to remove all "doubtful" darkened areas so that the final taste of the puree is not affected.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We wash the apples, dry them, cut out the seeds, cut off the peel and all defective areas. Cut the pulp into pieces. We put them in a cooking container. Add sugar, citric acid, mix and place on the stove.
step 2 out of 5
Bring to a boil with constant stirring and simmer over low heat for twenty to twenty-five minutes until soft.
step 3 out of 5
Purée the stewed apples with an immersion blender until smooth. Bring the resulting puree to a boil and boil for two to three minutes.
step 4 out of 5
We lay out the finished mashed potatoes in clean and dry, pre-sterilized jars.
step 5 out of 5
We twist the puree with clean dry sterile lids. We turn over the cans to check the tightness and let cool. We put it in a cool dry place for storage.
Bon Appetit!
