Applesauce with sugar through a meat grinder for the winter

A meat grinder for this recipe is a great alternative to a blender or food processor. The puree will turn out to be just as soft and uniform, without having to grind everything by hand.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Rinse the apples thoroughly under running water and pat dry with a towel or paper towels. You can peel off the peel if you are concerned about it smelling in the mashed potatoes, but it usually crumbles enough when you roll it through a meat grinder. Cut the apples into freeform pieces, leaving a tough, pitted core.
step 2 out of 5
Scroll the apples in portions through a meat grinder, then transfer the resulting puree to a saucepan.
step 3 out of 5
Add sugar to the apples, stir and place the saucepan over medium heat. Stirring constantly, bring the puree to a boil and simmer over low heat for 20-30 minutes, continuing to stir so that the sugar does not burn.
step 4 out of 5
As it boils, the mass will thicken and, accordingly, splash more strongly when boiling. If necessary, remove the foam formed on the surface and remove the pan from the heat.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the puree into pre-sterilized jars and close the lid tightly. Make the jars upside down or folded on their side, wrap them with a blanket and leave to cool completely.
Bon Appetit!
