Applesauce with sugar for the winter

Applesauce is a good alternative to jam for those who like less high-calorie fruit preparations. We add sugar to mashed potatoes, but its amount is significantly less than to jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We wash the apples, cut off the peel, remove the seed capsule. Cut the apple pulp into pieces.
step 2 out of 5
Pour water into a saucepan with a thick bottom, add sugar, mix, put apples, mix again, put on the stove.
step 3 out of 5
Heat to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer apples, stirring, for about twenty minutes. Apples gradually form a boiled, inhomogeneous mass.
step 4 out of 5
Stewed apples can be manually processed with a pusher for more uniformity, or punch through with a hand blender. In the latter case, the puree will be completely homogeneous.
step 5 out of 5
Put the finished hot puree into clean and dry sterilized jars, cover with dry sterilized lids, put on sterilization for ten minutes. After sterilization, we twist the jars with lids, turn them upside down to check the tightness. Let cool and store in a cool dry place.
Bon Appetit!
