Did you know that apple compote for the winter can be rolled up without using sugar? It is not only tasty, but very healthy and suitable for almost everyone. Of course, for such a drink, it is better to choose sweet varieties of apples.

Wash the apples thoroughly, cut into slices and cut the core with seeds.

Place the apples in a saucepan, cover them with cold water and place over medium heat.

Bring the compote to a boil, add cloves or cinnamon if desired. Turn off the stove, cover the pan with a lid and let sit for 30 minutes.

Wash and sterilize compote jars. Spread the apples into the jars with a slotted spoon, then fill them to the top with hot compote, cover with lids. Sterilize jars with compote in boiling water for 15-20 minutes and roll up the lids. Turn the rolls upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave to cool completely. Store seaming in a cool place.
