Apple pie with strawberries

A juicy ruddy cake that is especially good when warm. The dough is crumbly, tender, the filling is moist and fragrant. It is better to peel the apples for the filling. Any strawberry can be used: fresh, frozen or even dried. If the berries are frozen, we recommend defrosting them first and draining the excess juice.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We wash the apples, peel and free them from the seed capsule. Cut into quarters and sprinkle with lemon juice so that the flesh does not darken.
step 2 out of 5
Break the eggs into a bowl, add granulated sugar and beat everything together with a mixer until a light foam is obtained. Add vegetable oil to the egg mass, mix. We introduce sifted flour with starch, lemon zest and baking powder. Stir with a whisk until completely homogeneous - the dough turns out to be of medium density, like fat sour cream.
step 3 out of 5
Grease the cake pan with vegetable oil. We spread the prepared dough into it. In the form, evenly lay out the apples, lightly pressing them into the dough. Place strawberries on the apples. If you are using fresh berries, you can leave them whole and distribute between the apple slices. If the berries have been thawed, then drain the juice. Dried strawberries can be chopped or left as they are.
step 4 out of 5
We put the cake pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake for about thirty-five minutes until a slight blush.
step 5 out of 5
Then quickly open the oven, sprinkle pine nuts over the fruit filling and bake the product for another ten to fifteen minutes. We take out the finished pie from the oven, cool slightly. Then cut into slices and serve.
Bon Appetit!
