Sour milk is not a spoiled product, but a great ingredient for delicious baked goods. We offer a recipe for a delicious cabbage pie with sour milk. The cabbage in it is tender and juicy, and the dough is soft and airy. The pie is perfect both for tea drinking during the day, and for breakfast with a cup of coffee, as well as a lifesaver if unexpected guests are on the doorstep.

We thinly chop the cabbage by hand with a knife, or using a combine.

Peel the onions, rinse, dry and cut into small cubes. We put hard-boiled eggs to boil, after boiling we cool them and cut them into small cubes.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and pour chopped onion into it. While stirring, fry it until transparent. Free the garlic from the husk and pass through a press. Add the garlic gruel to the onion and stir.

Immediately after the garlic, put chopped cabbage into the pan. Add salt, black pepper and turmeric. Stir and cover with a lid so that the cabbage settles and moistens. After that, remove the lid and continue to simmer the cabbage, stirring occasionally, for fifteen to twenty minutes. The filling should be soft. Remove from the stove and let cool.

Preparing the pie dough. To do this, mix eggs, sour milk, mayonnaise, odorless vegetable oil, salt and granulated sugar in a bowl. Stir vigorously with a whisk or mixer until a homogeneous liquid mixture is obtained.

Then add baking powder and sifted flour. Knead again thoroughly - a homogeneous thin dough is obtained.

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil or cover it with oiled parchment. Pour half of the prepared dough into a mold.

Spread the cabbage filling on the dough in an even layer. Next, pour the chopped boiled eggs onto the cabbage.

Pour the rest of the dough over the cabbage and eggs. If necessary, spread the dough over the surface with the back of a spoon to completely cover the entire filling.

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface of the pie. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We put the pie on the middle level and bake for forty to forty-five minutes, until it is well browned and slightly increased in volume.
