Jellied Pie with Cottage Cheese and Cherries

Cottage cheese gives the pie filling a soft and delicate taste, pleasant texture and dilutes the sugary and rich taste of cherries, which may not be liked by everyone in large quantities.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Remove the oil from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for an hour to soften. Cut it into small pieces, transfer to a deep bowl and grind together with sugar until a cream-like mass is obtained.
step 2 out of 7
Beat eggs into the mixture and stir until smooth. Mix flour with baking powder and add into the dough in parts, sifting through a fine sieve. Knead the dough until smooth, form a ball, tighten with plastic or cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
step 3 out of 7
Spread the cooled dough evenly over your baking dish. Lightly prick the bottom with a fork so that it does not swell too much during baking.
step 4 out of 7
For the filling, grind the curd through a sieve to get a more uniform structure, and mix with sour cream.
step 5 out of 7
Add sugar and cherries and stir until the berries are visually evenly distributed over the filling.
step 6 out of 7
Place the filling in a sand base and flatten with a spatula or spoon. You can tap the baking pan lightly to expel any air bubbles.
step 7 out of 7
Bake the dish in the oven at 180̊C for 30-35 minutes. Take out the pie when the filling becomes denser and the sides are noticeably golden.
Bon Appetit!
