Frozen chanterelles in sour cream

Whenever possible, freeze mushrooms for the winter in summer and autumn, then you can cook many delicious dishes from them. The simplest thing is to stew the chanterelles in sour cream with onions. You can also not bother with such a dish and cook ordinary potatoes, it will turn out delicious and satisfying.

After defrosting, frozen chanterelles can taste bitter, therefore they must first be soaked for 2-3 hours in cold water. Then drain the water through a sieve, boil the mushrooms in salted water for 15 minutes. Drain the water, rinse the chanterelles in cold water. Peel the onion, cut into half rings and fry in vegetable oil until transparent. Reduce fire.

Add chanterelles to the onion. Stir and simmer for about 25 minutes, add salt and pepper.

Put 2 tablespoons in the pan. sour cream, simmer for another 10 minutes. Put chopped garlic in the mushrooms, add another 1 tbsp. sour cream, mix. Simmer for another 1 minute. and turn off the fire.
