Cauliflower casserole with potatoes

A dish of cauliflower and potatoes is a bit boring ... Today we supplemented this combination with chicken fillet, a small amount of sautéed vegetables, egg and milk sauce and a fragrant cheese crust. It turned out to be a surprisingly tasty and satisfying dish, which even those who are not a lover of cauliflower will enjoy themselves with pleasure. Our casserole is a successful combination of all ingredients, the taste of which complements each other and makes a single composition.

We wash the potatoes well under running water, put in a saucepan, fill with water and boil in their uniform until tender. When ready, remove the potatoes from the pan, let them cool and peel them. Cut into cubes and put in a deep mold, greased with vegetable oil.

We wash the chicken fillet, put in a saucepan, fill with water, salt a little and boil until tender. Then take it out of the pan, let it cool and cut into small pieces. We distribute the chicken over the potatoes.

Wash cauliflower, divide into inflorescences, remove thick trunks. Put the cabbage in boiling water and boil for 4-6 minutes. The main thing is not to digest it, so that it does not soften during the baking process. Remove the cabbage from the pan and place it on top of the chicken.

Peel the carrots, wash and rub on a coarse grater. Peel the onion, wash it, chop it into cubes. Put the carrots and onions in a preheated pan with vegetable oil, sauté for 2-3 minutes. Put the sautéed vegetables in a mold on the cauliflower.

Beat the eggs in a deep bowl using a whisk, add milk, salt and pepper. Mix everything well. Fill our casserole with the resulting mixture and put it in the oven to bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

5 minutes before the end of the cooking time, sprinkle the casserole with finely grated cheese and leave to bake.
