Delicate mashed potatoes and fried mushrooms go well in one dish, namely a casserole. Mushrooms can be used both fresh and frozen, and even yesterday's mashed potatoes will do.

Cut the peeled potato tubers into several pieces and cook until tender. Then drain the water, add butter and milk, salt and crush the potatoes into a smooth puree.
