Pasta baked in a gentle béchamel sauce under a golden brown crust of cheese simply cannot leave indifferent those who love pasta and dishes made from it. Children especially like these casseroles. To make the dish really tasty, it is important to use the "right" pasta - made from durum wheat flour. They will not boil over and after baking will retain their optimal texture, while products made from ordinary flour quickly lose both their density and shape.

Immediately put the pasta to cook. Add some salt to the cooking water. We boil the products to the state of al dente, according to the instructions on the package. After cooking, put them on a sieve and let the broth drain completely.

Peel the onions, rinse and chop finely with a knife. We wash the carrots, peel and three on a coarse grater. Heat the odorless vegetable oil in a frying pan and add the chopped vegetables. While stirring, fry the onions with carrots until soft and lightly browned. This will take about five to six minutes.

After that, add minced meat to the pan and mix. We immediately break large lumps with a fork in order to achieve an overall crumbly state. Add salt and black pepper to taste. Fry the minced meat for ten to fifteen minutes at an average stove temperature, remembering to stir.

In a saucepan, melt the butter until it is liquid. Pour flour into hot oil. Stir in the thickening mass with a spatula and keep it on the stove for two to three minutes, until the shade of the mixture becomes creamy and the aroma is nutty.

Pour milk into the fried flour mass in a thin stream and at the same time stir with a whisk to break all the lumps at once. Bring the resulting sauce to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes over low heat. At the end of cooking, add salt and grated nutmeg. We remove from the stove.

Grease the casserole dish with vegetable oil and put boiled pasta in it.

Put the minced meat from the pan on top, slightly mix the pasta with the meat and level the total mass so that the surface becomes flat.

We put the casserole in an oven preheated to 190 degrees on a medium level. We bake for twenty five minutes. The cheese on the surface will melt and brown well. We take the finished casserole out of the oven and serve it to the table, it is better to cut it right in the form.
