Casserole with pasta, ham and cheese in the oven

One of the simplest casseroles. Great for breakfast or dinner as it is quite filling, but not heavy. Moreover, it prepares quickly. So that the pasta after baking does not become too soft, firstly, we choose those types that are made from durum wheat. Secondly, boil them until al dente, when the center of the pasta is still slightly firm.

Boil the pasta in salted water, according to the instructions. Remember that it is important to cook them at this stage to the state of al dente. After boiling, fold the products into a colander and let the broth drain completely. Grease the baking dish with a small amount of vegetable oil. We place the boiled pasta in the mold in an even layer.

Free the ham from the shell and cut into small cubes or strips. Spread the pieces of ham over the pasta in an even layer. Sprinkle with black pepper on top. You can also add other favorite spices or dried herbs to taste.

Rub the hard cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle it with pasta and ham.

Shake the egg with a little salt in a separate container, then mix it with the cream. Pour pasta with the resulting mixture. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 gr. and put the form on the middle level. We bake for fifteen to twenty minutes, until the cheese melts on the surface and forms a golden brown crust.
