Sour cream custard is a versatile cream used as a cake filling. In terms of taste, the cream prepared according to this recipe resembles ice cream sundae - hence the name. The consistency of the finished cream also allows you to decorate cakes with it.

Combine the following ingredients in a deep container - eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar, cornstarch and wheat flour. We mix everything.

Add sour cream to the resulting mass, mix everything thoroughly. Optionally, you can use a mixer. Sour cream must be used with a high percentage of fat.

Cook the custard base in a water bath for 10 minutes until thickened. After that, it is important to cool the custard mixture to room temperature.

Beat the softened butter with a mixer at high speed.

After that, gently and gradually mix the butter with the custard mixture. Beat the ingredients with a mixer until smooth. An important point: the butter and the custard base should be exactly room (the same) temperature, otherwise the cream will exfoliate.
