The custard for the cake, prepared with cream according to this recipe, tastes like ice cream sundae. Hence the name of the cream. Pleasant creamy taste, the most delicate texture - this is how this cream can be described. Such a custard is prepared in two stages - preparing the custard base, then combining it with whipped cream.

Pour milk into a saucepan, put on fire, bring to a boil.

Combine the following ingredients in a separate container - egg, starch and sugar. Beat everything with a mixer.

With constant whisk, pour the hot milk into the egg mixture.

Pour the resulting mixture into a saucepan, turn off the heat and cook until the cream thickens. Add butter to the finished custard base, mix everything until smooth.

Transfer the finished custard to another container, cover with cling film and cool (to room temperature). Then put the cream in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
