With proper salting, you can prepare an excellent natural snack from green tomatoes for the winter. In this recipe, you are invited to pickle them in a jar and in a cold way. Tomatoes will soak well with the aroma of garlic and herbs and will taste like cask tomatoes.

Wash the tomato pickling jar well and scald it with boiling water. Wash off any green leaves. Peel the horseradish root and chop into strips.

Remove seeds from peppers and cut them in half. Place 2/3 of all spices and black peppercorns on the bottom of the jar.

Peel the garlic and cut into slices. Wash green tomatoes thoroughly. Cut each tomato at the base of the stalk and place several slices of garlic in the cut.

Place prepared tomatoes in a jar. Lay the rest of the spices and peppers on top of the tomatoes.

Pour clean water into a separate saucepan (1.5 liters per 3 liter jar). Pour the specified amount of rock salt into the water and stir well to completely dissolve the salt. Pour the prepared brine over the tomatoes in the jar, filling it to the very top.

Close the jar with a clean plastic lid. Transfer the tomatoes in the jar to a cold place or refrigerate. After 1 month, not earlier, the tomatoes will be salted and saturated with the aroma of spices. You can serve these tomatoes to the table.
